Data from The Australasian Expedition of 1897-1900 were available in "Aust. Antarc. Exp. 1911-14 Sci. Rep., Ser.B., 3, Sydney". The marine weather observations from this book have been digitised and converted into IMMA records.

Problems and limitations
- At least some data from this expedition have been previously digitised and are in ICOADS 2.3.
- It is not clear how ship's time relates to GMT (what time-zone were they keeping on board)? The observation times have been converted to GMT assuming a time zone based on the exact longitude of the observation.
